The existing landscape of this thirty-year-old Virginia home was outdated and lacked character. The client tasked us with giving the entire five-acre property a dramatic facelift, focusing on high-quality materials and exceptional craftsmanship. Completed in 2018, this transformation includes travertine walkways and patios, a solid cedar pergola, a new pool with water features, an outdoor kitchen, a granite cobblestone and gravel driveway, and lush, flowering ornamental plantings. Since the project’s completion, our maintenance crews have continued to ensure the property remains pristine year-round.

Our skilled masons, carpenters, and landscape crews collaborated to create a timeless and functional outdoor living space that blends beauty and durability to meet the client’s vision.

Tidy Approach – A view of the front drive showcases a well-manicured turf bordered by a granite cobble curb and gutter for a polished, clean aesthetic.

Welcoming Entry – The new entryway is vibrant and inviting, featuring details like matching benches, planters, and single-stem hydrangeas that enhance the home’s curb appeal.

Seasonal Color – A close-up of the blooming hydrangeas highlights the layers of interest created by planting annuals beneath the woody shrubs. These annuals are rotated seasonally by our crews for continuous color.

Formal Garden Details – Hand-clipped boxwood hedges frame masses of perennials and Drift Roses. Astilbe is in full bloom here, while hydrangeas prepare to flower. Both are meticulously deadheaded to maintain their appearance.

Backyard Oasis – Entering from the side of the house, the backyard opens to a focal point: the stunning swimming pool surrounded by lush greenery.

Shaded Retreat – A solid cedar pergola provides shade over the outdoor kitchen, offering a prime spot to enjoy the serene backyard views.

Outdoor Kitchen Craftsmanship – This sleek outdoor kitchen features exceptional attention to detail, combining function with beautiful design.

Poolside Serenity – The oversized lap pool is anchored by a tile water wall and features a bubbler water feature in the beach entry.

Sheer Descent – A low brick retaining wall separates the pool from the lawn, seamlessly integrating the multi-level design while providing a backdrop for the spa and sheer descent water feature.
