McHale Landscape Design is a residential landscape architecture company and design-build firm dedicated to designing and constructing extraordinary residential gardens, pools, outdoor living areas, and home additions.
Since 1981, the firm has designed, constructed, and planted many residential projects, including more than 400 award-winning landscapes. Combining landscape architecture, horticultural knowledge, and field experience, our professionally licensed and certified staff help you create beautiful gardens and living spaces. With an interactive design-build process, McHale Landscape Design views every client as an important part of the team. Our goal is to be your single source for the entire project, from design to implementation to after care.

HISTORY
McHale Landscape Design was founded in 1981 by brothers Kevin and Steve McHale.
The brothers’ passion for the landscape industry began while mowing neighborhood lawns when they were just 12 years old. Their parents taught them the value of hard work and financial accountability, and while still in college at West Virginia University, Kevin and Steve began the business. The early beginnings were simple: a Datsun pickup truck, a wheel barrow, and two shovels.
The most important strength of our landscape design company is our people. Hiring and retaining great people has created a unique culture. Our first employee, Phil Kelly, is now our Chief Operating Officer and has been instrumental in the growth of the company. The company culture focuses on always wanting to “do better” for our clients. Our goal is to develop relationships with that are based on trust. Trust leads us to our ultimate goal of creating “clients for life.”
