Step 1: The Initial Client Meeting
Our design-build process begins with an in-person consultation. We listen carefully to your ideas and tour your home and property. During this visit, we begin an on-site analysis and create a landscape design program that acts like a wish list of features and goals. We also discuss your budget to help align landscape design ideas with practical expectations. This meeting sets the tone for a creative and collaborative journey. Every idea is welcome.
Step 2: Defining the Scope of Work
After the meeting, we prepare a design contract. This document outlines the scope of work developed during the initial diseño y construcción consultation. While it includes all agreed-upon ideas, it also allows room for creative growth as the design evolves.
Step 3: Site Analysis and Documentation
Once the contract is signed, our team conducts a detailed site analysis. We review existing plans, take photos, and shoot elevations using a laser level. We also study nearby properties to understand how surrounding landscapes may influence your site.
Step 4: Concept Development and Master Planning
With the site data in hand, we create a base plan showing existing conditions. From there, we revisit the landscape design process and start exploring concept ideas. These are refined into a Preliminary Master Plan—a key step in our landscape architecture process. Once we finalize a direction, we present the plan for your feedback. At this point, we may suggest a 3D rendering or model to bring the vision to life. If not included in the original scope, this may require an additional fee.
Step 5: Final Presentation and Budget
Our final presentation includes:
- The Master Plan
- Renderings and reference photos
- Examples of materials and plantings
- A complete budget and cost analysis
This package provides a clear vision and financial framework for the project.
Step 6: Moving to Construction
After final revisions are complete, we sign a contract to begin construction. As a Design-Build Landscape Architecture firm, we create documents that serve two purposes:
- To clearly express our design intent
- To guide our crews through accurate implementation
These plans are not designed for third-party bidding. Instead, they ensure our team delivers the highest level of craftsmanship.
Step 7: Lifelong Landscape Care
We view every project as the beginning of a lasting relationship. Once construction wraps up, we offer a seamless transition into a maintenance partnership. Our team nurtures your gardens so they thrive over time—preserving their beauty, health, and value for years to come.
