Landscape Division offers integrated garden design
and implementation. Our experts all hold industry-related
degrees and our team includes a professionally trained
and educated horticulturalist and
landscape architects. Our field crews are a direct
extension of our design
team thereby allowing us to ensure that the design
you approve is realized
in your finished garden. Our
landscape designs utilize a broad plant palate,
including mature
specimen plants, creating endless possibilities
for your garden. We have
established relationships with top growers and
physically go to their sites

to tag the plants for your garden to ensure quality and
that the selection
reflects the plans. We also own and operate our own nursery,
which allows us to control and guarantee the quality of
the plants we integrate into your garden.
Our landscape teams adhere to standards set forth by
the American Nurseryman Association and Landscape Contractors
of America. Our team is licensed by the Maryland Department
of Agriculture and follows regulations including soil
test and nutrient management programs. Our landscape
projects include soil tests prior to planting and use
of a slow release fertilizer and pre-emergent herbicide
to ensure healthy growing plants through ongoing feeding
and to prevent the invasion of weeds. McHale has developed
its own soil amendment mix of sand, pine fines, Leafgro,
and soil to provide the nutrients needed to ensure the
proper development of your garden.
